Artist Profile

 

Jocelyn has been painting on silk for over ten years, and has previously enjoyed touring the country with craft shows.

She is completely self-taught and draws inspiration from the local area and various trips abroad. She prefers to use very vibrant colours and colour combinations, which enhance the beauty of the silk.

As well as including an element of fun in each picture, they all have mathematical influences drawn from her studies in engineering, and following a recent move to Christchurch, Dorset the latest pictures have started to show more of a maritime influence.

She runs 'Occasions', a Card and Gift shop in Highcliffe with her husband Stuart, and enjoys walking locally with Bunty the Beagle. She is hoping to remain in the area for quite some time, having moved house 32 times in three different countries!
